Orchid Cafe

Orchid Cafe is our little spot up here in Naukuchiatal. We are part of The Lake Resort, so we get to see the water every day. Nainital can get pretty cold in the winter but the view stays nice. We aren't a big city cafe with lots of noise. It’s usually pretty quiet around here unless it's tourist season. We serve coffee, tea, and some snacks to people who are staying at the resort or just walking by the lake. The kitchen isn't huge but we make it work. We spend a lot of time wiping down tables and making sure we have enough supplies brought up the hill. It’s not always easy getting things delivered way out here. We’ve had the same few people working here for a long time. We know the locals and we see a lot of folks from Delhi coming up for the weekends. We don't do anything too fancy. It’s just a basic cafe where you can sit down for a bit. Sometimes the lake gets foggy and you can barely see the trees. Those are the slow days. We just keep the pots brewing and wait for someone to come in. It’s a simple life out here in 263136. We don't need a lot of bells and whistles. If you want a seat and a drink, we’ve got that for you. That’s our daily routine.
