The Mirror Salons

If you are heading down Gittikhadan Road in Nagpur, you’ll find us near the Rr Nursing Home. The Mirror Salons is a name people in this part of town have gotten used to seeing. It isn't a massive place, but there is enough room for people to wait their turn without bumping into each other too much. We have a few mirrors on the walls, which I guess is where the name came from. The morning routine is usually the same. We get the water ready, check the razors, and make sure the chairs are clean. Living and working in Nagpur means dealing with the heat, so we try to keep the place as comfortable as we can. A lot of our customers are locals who live just a few streets away. They come in for a quick trim or a shave on their way to something else. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the shop on Gittikhadan Road. Sometimes a nursing home staff member pops in during their break. We talk about the news or just sit in silence while the scissors do their work. It’s a practical business. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure people leave looking a bit tidier than when they walked in. The shelves have some creams and powders, and the floor always needs another sweep. It’s just how a salon goes when you are busy and the day is long.
