Our workshop is over on Eight Cross Road in Laxmi Nagar, at the N-1 plot. We have been Tajpuriya Woodworks for a long time, and this spot has become like a second home to many of us. It’s a busy wood shop where there is always the sound of saws or sanding going on. Laxmi Nagar is a good area for us, and being on the Eight Cross Road makes it easy for people to find the place. We mostly focus on getting the wood pieces right, so the shop floor is usually covered in a bit of sawdust by the end of the day. It’s not the cleanest office in the world, but that is just how a woodworks place tends to be. We have several people working here who have been part of the team for years. We aren't a giant factory, just a private company trying to do good work with wood. Sometimes we are very busy with big orders, and other times we are just fixing small things. The yard gets a bit full of timber sometimes, but we manage to keep it sorted. We don't really spend money on glossy brochures or anything like that. We just stay here at N-1 and get on with the jobs we have. If you come by, you’ll probably see us out front moving planks or loading up a truck. It is hard work but we have been doing it this way since the start.
