Out on Hingna Road, in the MIDC area, you’ll find us at N-6. This is where Spacewood Furnishers Pvt. Ltd. does its work. Being in an industrial estate like MIDC means the surroundings are mostly other factories and big warehouses. Our building is a pretty large space because furniture takes up a lot of room. There is always the smell of wood and maybe some glue or finish in the air. We have rows of desks and different pieces of furniture in various stages of being finished. It’s a busy place with people moving parts around and loading them onto trucks at the loading dock. Hingna Road can be a bit of a trek from the main city, but this is where all the space is for manufacturing. We don’t have a flashy showroom here; it’s more about the actual production side of things. Sometimes it gets a bit messy with sawdust, but we try to sweep up at the end of the shift. The office part is just a few partitioned rooms where we handle the billing and the drawings. We’ve been at N-6 for a good amount of time, and it feels like home to most of the staff. It’s hard work, especially when we have a big deadline, but we just put our heads down and do it. It’s just a regular furniture workshop in a busy industrial zone.
