Taj Hair Dresses Salon

Our salon, Taj Hair Dresses, is located in Vishal Appartment on Ring Road in the Jaripatka area of Nagpur. We are situated right opposite the Sai Mandir, so we hear the temple bells and the prayers throughout the day. The Ring Road is a very busy stretch of road, so there is always the sound of cars and bikes zooming past our front door. The shop itself is quite simple and isn't very large. We have a few barber chairs and big mirrors along the wall. It’s a typical local spot where men from Jaripatka come for a quick haircut or a shave. Because of the Nagpur heat, we try to keep the place as cool as possible with fans, though it’s still quite warm in the middle of the day. The apartment building is an older one, which gives the shop a bit of a lived-in feel. We don’t have any fancy lighting or high-end furniture. Most of our customers are people who live in the apartments around here or devotees who stop by after visiting the temple. It’s a bit of a social hub where people talk about cricket or local news while waiting their turn. We spend a lot of time sweeping up hair and sharpening our tools. It’s a plain, honest business that has been part of this street for years. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and start our work.
