Swastik Salon

Swastik Salon is tucked away in Janjira Apartment over on WHC Road. If you know Laxmi Nagar in Nagpur, you probably know the water tank nearby, and we are just a short walk from there. I opened this place because I have lived in Nagpur my whole life and wanted to work for myself doing what I know. We handle a lot of regular guys who just want a decent shave or a trim before they go to work. The shop isn't massive, but it has enough chairs for a few people to sit and wait while reading the newspaper. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going at full speed. Laxmi Nagar is a busy area with a lot of traffic, so you hear the horns and the street noise all day long. I usually spend most of my time here from morning until late evening. My tools are basic but I keep them sharp and clean. People stop by after shopping or on their way home. It is a straightforward spot where you can just sit down, get your hair cut, and talk about the cricket scores or whatever else is happening in the city. We don't have any fancy uniforms or anything like that. I just wear my regular clothes and get to work. It is a good way to earn a living and stay connected to the people in this neighborhood.
