Swagat Hair Salon

Swagat Hair Salon is located on the Main Road in the Bazar Line area of Katol, Nagpur. We are specifically down Deshmukha Lane in a part people call Kandoli. It is a very traditional market area, so there is always the sound of people bartering and carts moving nearby. Our shop is right in the middle of all that action. I have been cutting hair in Katol for many years, and this shop has seen a lot of changes in the town. The room is narrow, so we have to be careful not to bump into each other when it's full. We have a couple of old-style barber chairs that have lasted a long time. The floor is made of simple stone tiles that are easy to sweep. Every day, the same group of older men comes by to sit and talk, even if they don't need a haircut. It’s a bit of a social spot in Kandoli. We don't have any bright signs or neon lights. The name is just painted on a board outside. When the festival season comes around, the Bazar Line gets incredibly crowded, and we stay busy from morning until late at night. We just do the usual haircuts and head massages. People like the head massages after a long day of working in the fields or the market. It’s a simple shop for simple people, and we like it that way.
