Shine Beauty Parlor

Living in Kakade Layout, you get to know everyone on the street. That is how it started for us here at Shine Beauty Parlor in Ramesh Wadi. We are right here in the neighborhood, so it’s mostly just the local ladies coming in for their regular stuff. It is not one of those huge fancy salons you see in the mall. We have our few chairs, the big mirrors, and the usual hair dryers. Nagpur can get really hot, so people like to come in just to sit in the shade and get a cooling facial or a quick hair wash. Sometimes the shop gets crowded on Saturday afternoons when everyone wants their eyebrows done at the same time. You can hear the sounds of the street outside while we work. We use the same brands we’ve always used because they work fine. We don’t really have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how to handle the scissors and the thread. It’s a lot of talking and catching up on news while we do the work. The address is easy to find if you are familiar with the 440008 area. We’ve been here in Ramesh Wadi for a while now and the shop feels like a second home. We don’t have a website or anything, people just walk in when they need something done. It works out okay for everyone. We stay open until the street gets quiet and the work is finished.
