Saraswati Vidyalaya

Saraswati Vidyalaya is tucked away in Shankar Nagar, over here in Nagpur. Most people in the 440010 area know exactly where the school sits. It’s an old-fashioned sort of place, not one of those new glass buildings you see popping up. We’ve had generations of families walk through these doors. The hallways are a bit narrow and the paint might be peeling in a corner or two, but it’s home for us. We don’t spend a lot of time on fancy marketing or polished speeches. The day starts early with the sound of students arriving and the teachers getting their chalk and books ready. It’s a very local feel. If you walk down the streets of Shankar Nagar, you’ll hear the classes going on. We just focus on the lessons and getting the students through their exams. The staff room is always full of tea and old papers. It’s a busy, lived-in space. We don't try to sound like a big international organization. We are just a school in Nagpur doing what schools do. People know us for being steady. The address is easy to find if you’re familiar with this part of town. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs to be done every single day. There’s a routine here that hasn’t changed much over the years, and we like it that way. It feels real and honest.
