Saikrupa Hair Salon

Saikrupa Hair Salon is located on Hudkeshwar Road in Nagpur, right in the Nilkant Nagar area. It’s a small, honest shop that’s been on this road for quite a while now. I run the place myself and I try to keep things as simple as possible. We have two chairs and mirrors that show exactly what’s happening. The walls are just a plain color, and we don't have any of those fancy posters you see in the big malls. Most of our customers come from the nearby houses in Nilkant Nagar. Nagpur can get incredibly hot during the summer months, so that ceiling fan is always spinning at full speed. We don't use many gadgets, just the usual scissors, combs, and clippers that I’ve had for years. It’s a bit of a small space, so if there are more than two people waiting, they usually sit on the bench we have outside. We do a lot of haircuts for the local kids, which can be a bit of a challenge but it’s part of the job. I don't bother with any online bookings or anything like that. People just show up when they need a trim. We talk about what’s going on in the neighborhood while I work. It’s a quiet way to make a living and I like the people who come here. We just do the work, sweep the floor, and open up again the next morning.
