R. K. Computer

People usually find us here in Gali-3, Pragati Nagar, just off the main College Road. We’ve been running R. K. Computer for a while now. It’s not a fancy place with glass walls or anything. Most days it’s just me and a couple of others surrounded by opened-up CPU cabinets and tangles of power cables. Since we’re near the college, we get a lot of students coming in with laptops that won’t turn on or printers that decided to jam right before a big project was due. We try to get things fixed as quick as we can, but sometimes parts take a few days to arrive from the city. It gets a bit dusty in here with all the fans running, and we usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. We sell basic things too, like keyboards, mice, and those little USB drives that everyone seems to lose. Some folks come in just to ask why their internet is slow, and we do what we can to help them out without making it sound too complicated. There’s no big corporate office behind us, just this shop in Pragati Nagar. We spend most of our time staring at screens or poking around inside motherboards. It’s honest work and it keeps the neighborhood connected. If you’re walking down College Road and see the sign, that’s where we are.
