Prince Hair Cutting Salon is right in the heart of Sadar Bazar in Nagpur. If you know Gandhi Chowk, then you know exactly where we are. It is a very busy part of town, always lots of people moving around and noise from the market. We have been here for a long time, cutting hair for the shopkeepers and the people who come to the bazaar for their daily shopping. Our place is simple. We have the standard chairs and the usual tools. There is nothing fancy about it, but it works for us and for the people who visit. Sometimes it gets really crowded in the evenings when everyone is off work. We just take our time with each person and keep the line moving. Nagpur summers are tough, so we try to keep the shop as cool as we can. It’s interesting being at Gandhi Chowk because there is always something to see out the window. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but the salon stays pretty much the same. People come in, get their hair cut, maybe a shave, and then they head back out into the market. It’s just a regular local barber shop doing what we know how to do. We don't try to be something we're not. We just keep the scissors sharp and the place clean for the next person.
