Prakash Hair Dressers & Gents Parlour

We are over on Ghat Road in the Dhantoli area of Nagpur. The shop is right by Mehadia Square. It’s a busy intersection, so there is always a lot of noise and movement outside the window. We go by the name Prakash Hair Dressers & Gents Parlour. It’s a bit of a long name for a small shop like ours. We’ve been cutting hair here for many years. The shop has that old smell of talcum powder and aftershave that people seem to like. We have a few chairs and they’re usually full during the evening hours when everyone finishes their work for the day. It’s a place where men come to relax and sit for a bit. We don't have anything fancy like coffee machines, just water from the cooler in the corner. We do basic haircuts and shaves for the local guys. Some of the older men have been coming to us since we first opened our doors. They don't even have to tell us how they want their hair done anymore. We just know their style. Nagpur gets very hot in the summer, so we have a couple of sturdy fans that we keep running all day long. It’s a simple life we have here. We work hard and try to be fair with everyone who walks in. You won't find any glossy posters or big ads for our shop. We are just there on the corner of Ghat Road, doing our work for anyone who needs it.
