Paradise Hair Salon

My shop is right here on Gorewada Road in the Anant Nagar area of Nagpur. If you look across the street, you’ll see the Bank of India, which is how most people find us if they haven't been here before. It's not a huge place, just a few chairs and some big mirrors that I try to keep clean every morning before the first person walks in. I’ve been working at this spot for a while now. Some days it gets pretty busy, especially on the weekends when everyone realizes they need a trim before Monday comes around. I usually keep a few old magazines on the table for people waiting their turn, though most folks just look at their phones these days. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so I spend a lot of time with the broom in my hand. It’s a quiet enough neighborhood, and I know most of the people who live nearby by their first names or at least their faces. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just keep going. I like the way the light comes in through the front window in the late afternoon. It's just a regular place where you can get your hair done without a lot of fuss or fancy talk. We keep the fans running high during the summer months because Nagpur gets really hot, as everyone knows. It's just me and the usual tools of the trade sitting on the counter.
