New Gold Salon

New Gold Salon is a local shop located in Bansi Nagar within the Midc area of Nagpur. The area is mostly industrial, so a lot of our customers are workers from the nearby factories who stop by after their shifts. The salon is a simple room with a tiled floor and a few mirrors. I try to keep it looking decent, though the paint is peeling a bit in the corners. We do hair cuts, beard grooming, and sometimes a basic facial if someone is going to a function. There is a small bench for people to sit on while they wait. We have a small radio that plays local songs through the day. Nagpur can be very hot, so the ceiling fan stays on all the time. It is not a place where you will find luxury treatments. It is just a neighborhood salon where people can get their grooming done for a fair price. I have one helper who comes in during the busy hours in the afternoon. We use standard scissors and a simple spray bottle for water. Most people come in and tell us to just do what we did last time. It is a very routine kind of work, and we like the regular faces we see every week. It’s just how things go here in Bansi Nagar for us and our customers.
