Navnath Mens Parlour

Started this shop years ago near the Old Jai Baba Temple here in Nagpur. It is a small place, nothing fancy. People come in for a quick trim or a shave when they are passing through 440008. The temple gets busy, so we see a lot of faces. I usually start early in the morning. It gets hot in the afternoons, so the fan is always running. We have a few chairs and mirrors that have been here since the beginning. Most customers are guys from around the neighborhood who don’t want anything complicated. They just sit down, we talk about the weather or whatever is on the news, and I get to work. It is not like those big malls. You can just walk in. Sometimes there is a wait, especially on Sundays. My hands are usually busy with the scissors or the razor most of the day. The shop name is Navnath Mens Parlour because it felt right. There is plenty of noise from the street outside, but inside it is just the sound of the clippers. I try to keep the place tidy, sweeping up the hair after every person. It is hard work being on your feet all day, but this is what I know. If you are near the temple and need a haircut, you will see us there. Nothing more to it than that. Just a local spot for local people to get their hair cut.
