Nalini Shahanaaz Beauty Parlour is situated on Nara Road, right in the Jaripatka area of Nagpur. The pin code is 440014. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of people moving around. Our shop is just one of many along the road, but we have been here long enough that people recognize the name. It is a plain space with the usual things you would find in a beauty parlour. There are mirrors on the walls and a couple of chairs for the customers. We spend our days doing simple things like hair cuts or helping people get ready for local weddings. It’s nothing like those big salons you see in malls. We use basic equipment and keep everything as clean as we can. The noise from Nara Road comes in every time the door opens. Sometimes it’s a bit dusty outside, but we try to keep the inside tidy. We have a routine of opening the shutters early and getting the towels ready. There is no receptionist or anything, just us.
