Kamal Construction And Design Associate (Opc) Private Limited is basically a small operation. I run things out of Plot No 144 in Old Subhedar. It’s right near Bank Colony, which is a fairly recognizable landmark for anyone living in this part of town. I focus on construction and the design side of things. It is a lot of work for one person to manage, but it keeps me busy. I usually have a few local helpers for the bigger tasks. My day starts early with looking over blueprints and checking on whatever project we have going on at the time. The office isn't anything special, just a desk with my computer and a lot of drawing tools. Being in Old Subhedar means I am close to the people I work for. I like the local feel of the neighborhood. People stop by to ask for advice on their own house repairs or to see if I can help with a small renovation. I try to be honest about what can be done and how much it will cost. There is no point in making things sound better than they are. Construction is hard work and things go wrong sometimes. I just deal with those issues as they come up and keep moving forward with the designs. Sometimes the materials are late, or the weather doesn't cooperate, but we get the building done eventually.
