Kalpataru Beauty Parlour

Kalpataru Beauty Parlour is located in the N I T Complex over in Lashkaribag, Nagpur. Being in a complex like this means there are always people moving around. It’s a central spot for this part of the city. Nagpur is a hot place, as anyone who lives here knows, so the shop is a bit of a refuge from the sun. I’ve been running this parlour for quite a while now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the mirrors are always clean. I do most of the work myself. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming when three people walk in at once, but they usually don't mind waiting and chatting with each other. We have a few plastic chairs for waiting. The work is mostly basic things like threading, waxing, and simple haircuts. I learned most of what I know from a course I took years ago and just practicing on my neighbors. Lashkaribag is a good area with a lot of regular families. They aren't looking for anything too fancy, just someone who does a decent job and doesn't charge too much. I like the routine of opening up the shutters every morning and setting out my tools. It’s my own little space in Nagpur. It isn't a big brand or anything, just a local shop where we try to do our work properly every single day for the ladies who visit.
