Iskon Saloon

Iskon Saloon is located in Sadguru Appt on Nandanvan Road. We are right by Tiranga Chowk, near the Big Cinemas. There is a Union Bank just opposite us too. It’s a busy part of Nagpur, so there is always something going on outside. The shop is on the ground floor, so people find us pretty easily. We do haircuts for men and boys. Mostly people from the apartments nearby come in. The room is square with mirrors on three sides. I like to keep the place bright. There’s usually a bit of a queue on Sunday mornings. People like to get cleaned up for the new week. I use a lot of spray bottles and combs throughout the day. You can hear the scissors snip-snipping most of the time. Sometimes I get tired of standing on my feet, but that’s the life of a barber. We don’t do anything too complicated or fancy. If you want a standard cut, we can do it. If you want your beard trimmed up, we do that too. Nagpur gets really hot, so people often come in to get their hair cut short. I’ve seen the area around Tiranga Chowk change a lot. More buildings and many more cars now than before. But the shop stays pretty much the same. I try to keep the floor clean, though it is hard when there are back-to-back customers. It’s a decent place to work. We don't have any big mission. We just cut hair.
