Heena Beauty

This is a small place on Manewada Road in Nagpur. We’ve been running Heena Beauty here for some time now. It’s not a huge salon like the ones you see in the malls. It is just a regular room where women from the neighborhood come to get their eyebrows done or their hair cut. Manewada Road is always busy, so there is a lot of dust and noise coming in through the front door. We have a couple of chairs and a small table for our supplies. We don’t do anything very complicated, just the usual things that people need. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to chat for a few minutes while we are working. We use the basic stuff, nothing that costs a fortune. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, but the ceiling fan keeps things moving. We start our day by cleaning the mirrors and getting the thread and scissors ready. It is a lot of work, especially on the weekends when everyone wants to look nice for a wedding or a party. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us doing what we know how to do. It’s a decent way to spend the day. We are easy to find if you are walking along the main road. Just look for the small sign near the 440024 area. We stay open late most nights to help out the working ladies.
