Govindam Restaurant

Govindam Restaurant is located at Shop No 5 in Budhwari, right across from the Shani Mandir at Bharat Mata Chowk. Nagpur gets really hot, so we try to keep the place comfortable for everyone who stops in. We are right in the middle of a busy area, so there is always something going on outside. It’s a straightforward restaurant. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just cook. The staff is mostly local guys who have been with us for years. We know the people who live around Budhwari well. It’s a small shop, so things can get a bit cramped during the lunch hour, but nobody seems to mind much. We put the chairs out every morning and start prep work early. It’s not a fancy establishment with a big budget for looks. We focus on the stove and the plates. The temple across the road brings a lot of people by on Saturdays. We’ve learned to expect the rush. Being at Bharat Mata Chowk means we see a bit of everything. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a basic, honest place to get something to eat. There isn’t much more to say about it than that. We are just here doing our thing and serving the people who walk through our door.
