Our company, Gandewar Brothers Pharmaceuticalsprivate Limited, is based in Nagpur at the Empress Mill Society. We are located at Madhav Niwas, which is plot number 234, flat 301. It is a family-run kind of setup, hence the name. Being in the Empress Mill area means we are part of a community that has a lot of history. The space we have is basically an apartment where we manage all the administrative parts of the pharmaceutical business. It is not a huge warehouse or anything like that. We spend most of our mornings checking the mail and updating our ledgers. The brothers started this together because we wanted to have something of our own in the pharma sector. Every day we sit in the office at Madhav Niwas and deal with the various distributors and retailers. Sometimes the building gets a bit busy with other residents, but we manage to keep our work separate. We don't use big marketing teams or anything. It is just us handling the day-to-day operations. The phone rings a lot and there is always some documentation that needs to be filed with the authorities. Nagpur gets very hot in the summer, so we usually try to get the heavy work done early in the day. We have been working out of this flat for some time and it suits our needs for now. It is a practical way to run a small private limited company without too much overhead cost.
