Deva Jents Parlour

Lashkaribag is where we have been for a long time. Our shop, Deva Jents Parlour, is located right near Awlebabu Chowk. It is a busy part of Nagpur and there is always something happening outside the door. Men from around the neighborhood stop by whenever they need a quick trim or a shave. We have a couple of chairs and a mirror that’s been there since we opened. It isn't one of those high-end places you see in the malls. It’s just a simple shop where you can sit and talk while you wait your turn. The tea stall is right nearby so sometimes we get a cup while things are slow. Most of our customers have been coming here since they were kids. Now they bring their own kids. We know how most people like their hair cut before they even sit down. The floor gets messy with hair during the rush hours but we sweep it up as fast as we can. Sometimes the power goes out and we just use the natural light from the front door. It’s a practical place for practical people. We don't use any of those smelly chemicals, just the basic soaps and creams. If you are looking for a place near the chowk that doesn't charge too much, this is where we are. We just keep things moving and try to make sure everyone leaves looking a bit neater. It is a small place but we have a radio that plays old songs.
