Being right by the first bus stop in Gopal Nagar makes our shop a bit of a busy spot throughout the day. People are always rushing to catch the bus or walking back from the Vitthal Rukhmini Mandir nearby. You can hear the temple bells sometimes when things get a bit quiet inside the shop. Nagpur gets really hot, so we usually have the fan running at full speed from morning until we close up at night. The shop is not very large, but we have enough space for a couple of chairs and some benches for people to sit on while they wait their turn. We’ve been here in this part of Nagpur for quite a while now. Most of our tools are old but we keep them sharp and clean. There is no fancy music playing here, just the sound of the traffic outside and the snip of the scissors. We see a lot of different people because of the bus stop, but we also have our regulars who live right here in Gopal Nagar. It is a simple routine of sweeping the floor, sharpening the blades, and talking to whoever is sitting in the chair about the weather or local news. We don't really do anything complicated, just basic haircuts and shaves for whoever needs one. It’s a practical place for the neighborhood folks to get their grooming done without any fuss.
