Amol The Family Salon

Amol The Family Salon is on VIP Road in the Dharampeth area of Nagpur, not far from the Aditya Honda showroom. It is a spot where families come because we take care of everyone, from the small kids who hate getting their hair cut to the older folks. Nagpur gets incredibly hot, especially in the summer months, so having a place with some shade and a working fan is important for us and the people who visit. The shop has a few different sections so that everyone feels comfortable while they wait. We have the basic chairs and the standard sinks for washing hair. It’s a bit of a busy road outside with all the cars going toward the main market, but inside it is just a regular salon atmosphere. We don't use fancy words for what we do; we just cut hair and do the usual salon work that people ask for. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded on Sunday mornings when everyone is off work, and you can hear the kids playing or crying a bit near the chairs. We just keep moving and try to get everyone finished so they can go about their day. It’s a local business run by people who live nearby, and we’ve become used to the faces we see every month. We just try to keep the mirrors clear and the floor swept as much as possible throughout the day.
