Amit Gents Parlor

If you are heading down Umred Road in the Taj Bagh area of Nagpur, you will find Amit Gents Parlor right near the gate. We have been set up here for quite some time now. It’s a straightforward place for men to get a haircut or a shave. We don't have any of those fancy reclining chairs or expensive products you see in the malls. It’s just a local shop for local people. Most of the guys who come here live just a few streets away. We talk about cricket or the local news while I work. The shop is small, so it can get a bit crowded on Sunday mornings when everyone wants to look sharp for the week ahead. I try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long outside on the pavement. The walls are painted a simple color and we have a couple of mirrors that have seen a lot of faces over the years. It’s a humble spot near the gate. I like the routine of it. Every morning I open up, sweep the floor, and wait for the first customer to walk in. Nagpur can be a busy place, but inside here, things are a bit slower. We just focus on giving a decent haircut at a price that won’t break the bank. No need for anything more than that. If you see the gate on Umred Road, we are right there. The sign is a bit faded but you can’t miss us. I've been doing this for fifteen years now.
