Aarti Engineering Company is located in the Mahal area of Nagpur, specifically at Pohane Wada on Tilak Road. Being in an old part of the city like Mahal means the streets are narrow and always full of people. The building itself, Pohane Wada, has that old-world feel that you don't find in the newer industrial estates. We do our engineering work in a space that’s been part of the neighborhood for a long time. It’s often quite dusty and loud with the sound of tools, but that’s just the nature of the job. Nagpur is famous for its heat, and in the summer, the workshop gets pretty warm, so we keep the big doors open and hope for a breeze. We don’t have a big HR department or a marketing team; it’s usually just a few of us handling the machines and talking to customers who walk in from Tilak Road. We might be drinking tea from the shop next door while looking over a drawing or a piece of equipment that needs fixing. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. There are old wooden beams in some parts of the office and piles of metal parts in others. It feels more like a family workshop than a company sometimes. We just focus on the engineering tasks at hand and try to keep our neighbors happy while we work in this busy, historic part of Nagpur.
