A1 Hair Saloon

You can find A1 Hair Saloon over in the Balaji Apartment building on Jaitala Road. We are in the Parsodi area of Nagpur. The shop is on the ground floor, so it’s easy for people to just walk in off the street. Jaitala Road has become much busier lately with all the new apartments going up. I remember when it was much quieter around here. Now, there's always someone walking by. The saloon isn't very large, just enough space for three chairs and a small bench for people to wait. We have a big mirror that covers almost one whole wall. I bought it second-hand when I first started the business. It has a tiny crack in the bottom corner, but it doesn't get in the way of anything. We do basic cuts and shaves for the men around here. Sometimes kids come in with their fathers, and they are usually a bit scared of the clippers at first. I try to be gentle with them. We don't have air conditioning, just a big ceiling fan that rattles a little when it’s on the highest setting. It’s a simple shop for a simple neighborhood. We don't try to be anything we aren't. If you need a haircut and you’re near Parsodi, we are usually here from morning until late evening. Even when it rains hard and the water pools on the road, we stay open.
