Rana International School

Rana International School is situated right near the Degana Junction in Nagaur. If you know the area, you know it is a busy spot because of the railway. The school is not too far from the post office, which makes it easy to find for people coming in from the surrounding parts of Degana. We have a mix of kids here from different families in the town and even some from the further villages. The building is a decent size with enough rooms for the different grades. It is not like those big schools you see in the major cities, but it does the job for the families living around Nagaur. In the morning, you can hear the train whistles from the junction while the kids are doing their assembly in the courtyard. The weather gets really hot here, especially in May, so we have fans in the rooms and try to keep things cool. The teachers are mostly local folks who have been with us for a good amount of time. We do not have any big fancy brochures or anything like that. People just know us from word of mouth in the community. The school has grown a bit over the years as more houses were built around the junction area. It is just a regular place where children come to learn their subjects and play a bit of cricket in the dirt yard when they get a break from the books and the quiet classrooms.
