Jupiter College

You can find us right on Station Road in Kuchaman. Rajasthan gets incredibly hot in the summer, and our building really feels that heat every afternoon. We have been here for years, and the college has become a bit of a landmark for people heading toward the train station. It is a simple place where students from the surrounding villages come to get their degrees. We don't have marble floors or glass elevators like the schools in the big cities. It’s mostly just concrete rooms, wooden benches, and ceiling fans that hum all day long. The office is usually piled high with files and paper registers because we still do a lot of things by hand. During admission season, the hallway is packed with parents and students asking about fees and subjects. We know most of the people around here by name, which makes things easier. The staff drinks a lot of tea to stay going throughout the day. Sometimes the dust from the road blows in through the windows, so we are always wiping down the desks before class starts. It’s a very local atmosphere here. We don't try to look like those big city universities you see on television. We just provide a place for people in this part of Nagaur district to study without having to travel too far from their families. Life here moves at its own pace, and we just try to keep the classes running on time and the water coolers filled up for everyone.
