St Marys School

We have been here on Ashoka Road in Lashkar Mohalla for quite a while now. Most people around here recognize the building because of the old gates and the noise of kids playing during their lunch break. It is just a regular school, nothing too flashy or modern. The classrooms have high ceilings and simple wooden desks that have seen better days, but they do the job. Every morning, the street gets a bit crowded with bicycles and parents dropping their children off before work. We don't have a fancy reception area or anything like that. If someone needs to speak with us, they usually just wait by the main office door until someone is free. The teachers here are mostly locals who understand how things work in this part of town. We spend our days going through the textbooks and making sure the students stay on track with their studies. Sometimes the fans are a bit noisy in the summer heat, but we keep the windows open to let the air in. There is a lot of history in these walls, with many generations of families passing through. It is not always quiet, and things can get a little messy when it rains, but it is just how life is here. We focus on the basics and try to keep a steady routine for everyone who comes through our doors each day. It is a busy place with a lot of energy, even if things are not always perfect.
