Feathers Study Centre is over in the Manasagangotri area. It’s a quiet spot, which is good because students need a place where they can actually focus on their books without too much noise from the street. We started this place because we saw a lot of kids struggling with their exams and needing a bit of extra help. It’s not a huge institution with hundreds of classrooms. It’s more of a local place where students come in the evenings or on weekends. We have some wooden benches, whiteboards, and a lot of old textbooks piled up in the corners. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the lighting is decent. Most of the people who come here are preparing for university or trying to get through their higher secondary grades. We talk to the parents quite a bit, explaining how their kids are doing. Sometimes the students are stressed out, so we try to keep the atmosphere calm. It’s mostly about going through the chapters, doing practice papers, and answering questions that they were too shy to ask in their regular schools. We don't promise any miracles; we just sit down and do the work with them. It’s rewarding when someone finally understands a difficult math problem or passes a test they were worried about. We’re just local people trying to help out the students in our neighborhood.
