St Filominas Play School

We've been here on Udaya Ravi Road for a while now. It’s a quiet spot in Kuvempunagar. The building is at number 1104. We mainly look after the little kids who aren't old enough for the big schools yet. Most of the families around Mysore know where we are. It’s not a huge place, but it works for what we do. We spend the day playing and learning a few basic things. The rooms are set up for toddlers to move around safely. Usually, parents drop them off in the morning before work. We have a small yard outside too. It gets a bit noisy when everyone is playing, but that’s how it goes with children. Our staff live nearby, so they know the neighborhood well. It isn't anything fancy, just a regular play school. We keep things simple here. Sometimes we do little drawings or sing songs. If you’re walking down the street, you can usually hear the kids laughing. We try to keep a steady routine so the little ones don't get upset. It’s mostly about making sure they are safe and having a bit of fun while their parents are busy. We’ve seen a lot of kids grow up and move on to the primary schools around here. It’s just a part of the community now. Nothing more to it really. Just a place for kids to be kids during the day.
