Al Fitrah Islamic Preschool

Al Fitrah Islamic Preschool is located at number 19 in the M I G Colony on M.G Road. We are right here in the Udayagiri area of Mysore. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it stays fairly quiet compared to the main city. The building is basically a house that we converted into a school for the little ones. We have small chairs and tables and lots of colorful things on the walls. Being a preschool, there is a lot of crying and laughing throughout the morning. We spend a lot of time helping the kids with their basic lessons and looking after them while their parents are at work. The 570019 area is where most of our families live. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. It's just us teachers and the helpers. We wash the floors every day and keep the toys as clean as possible. Sometimes the kids make a mess with their snacks, but that’s just how it is. We don't use any fancy teaching methods you read about in magazines. We just use what works and talk to the kids in a way they understand. It’s a small, cozy place. We know every child's name and their parents too. We just try to make it a decent place for them to spend their mornings. It’s a simple life here in the colony. We're just here every day from eight until noon.
