Sri Nanjundeshwara Enterprises

Our business, Sri Nanjundeshwara Enterprises, is located at 68A, Jwalamuki, near the Tripura Sundari Temple in Uttnalli. We are tucked away behind Chamundi Hills, so it’s actually a very beautiful and somewhat peaceful place to work. You can see the hills rising up right behind us, which is a nice change from the usual dusty industrial views. We carry a variety of supplies that people in this part of Uttnalli need. Since we are so close to the temple, we get a lot of foot traffic from people visiting for prayers or festivals. The shop is a bit old-fashioned, with wooden counters and shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. We don’t have a computer system for everything; a lot of our tracking is still done in big paper registers. It’s a slower pace of life out here compared to the center of Mysore. We spend a lot of our time chatting with the regulars who come in for their weekly supplies. Sometimes the monkeys from the hills come down and cause a bit of trouble with the stock if we leave the door open, but that’s just part of living in this area. We like the quiet mornings before the tourists and pilgrims arrive. It’s just a small local enterprise trying to serve the community and make enough to keep the doors open. We don't have big ambitions to expand, we just like being a reliable part of the neighborhood for everyone nearby.
