Chettinad Cement Corporation Limited

You can find us at Vyshaka on Navagraha Temple Street. It is a busy little corner of K.R. Mohalla here in Mysore. The street is 1427 and it has that old Mysore feel to it which we like. Chettinad Cement Corporation Limited has been operating from this spot for some time now. Working near a temple means there is always something going on outside, especially during festivals. Our daily routine is pretty standard. We get in, open the windows if it’s not too dusty, and start on the paperwork. Cement isn't the most glamorous thing to talk about, but it is what we do. We deal with the local builders and contractors who need supplies. The office itself is quite simple. We have a few desks and some old filing cabinets that have seen better days. Mysore weather is usually pleasant, so we don't complain much about the commute. The neighbors are mostly families and some small shops. Sometimes people wander in looking for the temple and we have to point them down the road. It is a very grounded place to work. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a shiny lobby. We just want to make sure the orders are correct and the numbers add up at the end of the day. It's just a regular group of people doing their jobs in a quiet part of town. We have a calendar with local holidays marked in red.
