Pragnya Building Materials

Pragnya Building Materials is located at 94, Vidyaranyapura, along Akkamahadevi Road. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a while now, and it’s a pretty busy part of the neighborhood. Our yard is usually filled with stacks of bricks, bags of cement, and piles of sand. It’s a messy business, and there is always a layer of dust on everything in the small office we have. We spend a lot of our time coordinating with truck drivers and making sure the supplies get to where they need to go. It’s not a glamorous job, but houses don’t get built without these things. We get all kinds of people coming in, from big contractors to guys just looking for a single bag of plaster to fix a hole in their wall. We don’t have a fancy website or a big sales team. It’s mostly just us answering the phone and writing out receipts by hand. The weather affects us a lot; when it rains, everything gets muddy and slow. We just try to keep the inventory dry and keep things moving as best as we can. Our neighbors are mostly other local shops, and we all kind of look out for each other. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. We don't try to be anything we aren't, we just supply the materials that people need to get their construction projects finished on time for their own clients and families.
