You can find our shop at 689/1 on the 9th Cross in T K Layout. We are pretty close to Ganesh Bhandar, which most people in Mysore use as a reference point when they are coming this way. The shop is a straightforward place for hair and styling. We’ve got the standard barber chairs and big mirrors that cover most of one wall. It’s a quiet neighborhood for the most part, though you get some foot traffic from people heading to the shops nearby. We spend the day with scissors and combs in our hands. The floor usually has a bit of hair on it because we are always in the middle of a cut. We don’t have any fancy receptionists or anything, you just walk in and wait for a chair to open up. Mysore has a nice pace to it, and we try to keep that same feeling in the shop. We talk about the weather or the local news while we work. It’s a small business, and we handle everything ourselves, from the cutting to the cleaning up at the end of the night. The light comes in through the front door, and we have a few fans to keep the air moving. Sometimes the neighborhood kids look through the window while we are working.
