Shoheb Hair Cut

You can find us at No.393 in Banni Mantap, right across the road from the Government Hospital in Mysore. Being opposite the hospital means we see a lot of people coming and going all day long. Some are visiting relatives and some are just passing through, and they stop in for a quick hair cut. The shop is just a single room with a couple of chairs and some big mirrors. We don't have any air conditioning, so we keep the door open to catch whatever breeze comes through Banni Mantap. The floor is made of grey stone and we have to sweep it constantly because of the hair. We have a small sink in the corner for washing up. We don't use fancy products, just the basic stuff you find in any local market. The chairs are a bit worn out on the seats, but they still work fine for what we need. We spend a lot of our time standing and watching the street life outside. Sometimes it is quiet and we just sit and wait, and other times we are busy from morning until night. We don't have a phone for appointments, people just show up when they need us. It is a very basic place but it has been here for a while and the people in the area know us. We just do our job and then head home when it gets dark.
