Mahajana D Ed College

Mahajana D Ed College is situated within the Pooja Bhagavat Memorial Education Centre on K R S Road. This area of Metagalli in Mysore is quite well-known, and we are right there among several other buildings. It is a place meant for people who want to become teachers, so the atmosphere is usually quite serious. You see students carrying heavy bags of books and walking quickly to their lectures. The building is older and has that specific smell of paper and stone that old colleges have. We have a library that stays quite full during the exam months. Outside, the road can get busy with buses going toward the city center. The trees around the center provide a bit of shade, which is nice during the hotter months in Mysore. We don't have a lot of fancy technology, just the standard classrooms and a few labs for the practical sessions. The staff usually drink their coffee in the small canteen nearby. It is a functional place where the schedule is strictly followed every day. There are notice boards everywhere with exam dates and department news pinned to them. Most of our students live in the city and commute in every morning by bus or cycle. We just focus on the curriculum and making sure the classrooms are ready for the next group of trainees. It is a straightforward environment without any extra frills.
