You can find us right inside the Hardwick High School Canteen on JLB Road. It is a busy spot because the Mysore Law Courts are just nearby too. Most of the day is filled with the sounds of kids shouting during their breaks and the constant hum of traffic from the main road. We have been operating this canteen for quite some time now. My sons and I handle most of the daily chores ourselves. It is a small space with limited seating, so it gets crowded very quickly. We spend our mornings setting up the benches and getting the tea urns ready. The floor is old stone and it’s seen a lot of foot traffic over the years. We aren't trying to be a five-star restaurant or anything like that. It is just a place for a quick snack or a simple lunch while people are on their way to court or school. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and the menu is just written on a small board. We see a lot of the same faces every day, from the teachers to the lawyers who want a break from their cases. It is just a basic life, making sure the tea is hot and the snacks are ready when the bell rings. JLB Road is always noisy, but we’ve gotten used to it by now. It is just part of being in this corner of the city.
