Our little place is at No.218/K30 on Narayan Shastri Road. If you know K R Mohalla, you know it’s a busy spot with people moving around all day long. We’ve been here quite a while now. It’s not a fancy office with glass doors or anything like that. It’s just a room where we try to handle things for the community. Sometimes the ceiling fan makes a clicking noise that drives us crazy, but we haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. People drop by with all kinds of questions about local stuff. We don't always have the answers right away, but we try to find them. The street outside is always noisy with rickshaws and vendors shouting, so we have to speak up a bit. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a lot over the years. Some shops have closed and new ones have opened, but we’re still here in the same spot. We know the guy who sells tea on the corner and the lady who runs the small grocery. It’s just a normal part of life for us. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall. We just show up, open the shutters, and see who needs help today. Sometimes we get a bit behind on the paperwork because there’s too much going on. It’s a bit messy, but it’s how we work. We’re just local people doing what we can for the folks who live around here. Most of the time, it's just about being here when someone needs to talk.
