Mohan Bhandar Supermarket Quality Shopping Since 1963

We’ve been here on Sayyaji Rao Road since 1963. My grandfather originally started Mohan Bhandar because he wanted a reliable place where neighbors could get good quality groceries without any unnecessary fuss. A lot has changed on this busy road over the last sixty years, but we’re still here in the same old spot. The shelves are packed pretty tight with everything from lentils and rice to soaps and spices. It can get a bit crowded and loud on Saturday mornings, but we know most of the faces that come through the front door. We don't have those fancy self-checkout machines or the bright neon lights you see in the new malls. It’s just the same old wooden counters and storage bins we've used for years. We spend a lot of our time checking the stock to make sure everything is fresh for the customers. If something isn’t good enough for our own kitchen at home, we simply don't sell it. That's just how it's always been done around here. Sometimes the floorboards creak a bit when you walk, and the layout might be a little confusing if it's your first time visiting, but we’re always around the corner to help you find the tea or the specific spices you need. We aren't trying to compete with those massive supermarkets. We just want to keep being the local shop where you can get what you need and have a quick chat with us. It’s a lot of daily work but we wouldn't have it any other way.
