About Gyan Deep Public School – Education in Muzaffarpur
Being right on State Highway 54 means there’s always trucks and buses passing by Bhatahan. Gyan Deep Public School is right there in the middle of it all. We started this place because Sheohar needed a spot for the local kids to go without having to travel too far into the bigger towns. Most mornings are a bit dusty. We spend a lot of time just sweeping the front porch before the students arrive for the day. It’s a simple building made of brick and cement. We don’t have those huge glass windows you see in the city schools. We have some fans that work most of the time, but the power goes out once in a while, so we just open the doors for the breeze. It’s mostly local people working here as teachers and helpers. We know the shopkeepers next door and the farmers who come in from the fields to drop off their children. It’s a busy life trying to keep everything organized. The kids bring their lunch boxes and we all sit under the shade when it gets too hot in the afternoon. We don’t talk much about big goals or things like that. We just show up, open the classrooms, and get through the lessons for the day. It’s what we’ve been doing for years now. Bhatahan is a quiet place except for the highway noise, and we’re just a regular part of the local scenery.
