We are situated right at Gate Mandi in Jawahar Ganj, Shamli. If you know the area we are very close to Subhash Chowk. Being in the Mandi means it is always incredibly busy. From early morning there are carts and trucks everywhere. We trade in various goods and it’s a lot of shouting and haggling to get things done. Our shop is just a small space packed with bags and boxes. There isn't much room to move around once the stock arrives. Shamli is a fast-paced place during market hours. I’ve been working here since I was a young man and I’ve seen the market change a lot over the years. We don't have a fancy sign or anything. Most people find us because they’ve been told where to go. Near Subhash Chowk the traffic can be a real headache but you get used to it. We deal with a lot of local farmers and other traders. It’s a community where everyone knows who is honest and who isn't. We just try to do our part and keep the business going. Sometimes we stay open late into the night if the trucks are delayed. It’s hard work and your back hurts at the end of the day but that is just how it is in the Mandi. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just trade.
