S M Agriculture Industries is located about 5 Km down Jansath Road in Sher Nagar. We are right near the railway station, so we hear the trains whistling and rattling by all the time. Being out here makes sense because we work with farmers and people from the rural areas who need equipment for their fields. The yard is usually full of heavy machinery and plow parts that are waiting to be picked up. It is a dusty environment, especially when the wind picks up off the road, and everything gets a layer of brown on it. We spend our time welding, fixing broken parts, and putting together new implements. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and getting our boots dirty. Sometimes a farmer will pull up with a broken piece of equipment and we have to see if we can patch it up quickly so they can get back to work. We don't have a fancy office; it’s mostly just a desk in the corner of the shed with a lot of old papers on it. Sher Nagar is a quiet enough place except for the station noise. We just focus on the agricultural stuff and keep the shop running six days a week. There’s no marketing talk here, just the sound of hammers and the smell of hot metal. It is not always easy, but we have been at this for a good while now.
