Farjana Traders

Farjana Traders is located in Umarpur village. It is a quiet place compared to the big cities. We get our mail through the Ghorsala post office. If you need to find us, we are under the Raghunathganj police station area. It is a rural setting, so things move a bit slower here. We spend a lot of our time dealing with local goods and trading with the people in the nearby fields. The roads can be a bit rough during the monsoon season, so we have to plan our transport carefully. My family has lived in this village for generations. We decided to start this trading business to help move products around the district. It’s mostly just me and a couple of helpers who handle the heavy bags. We don't have a big office with air conditioning. We just sit out front or in the warehouse area. Most of our business comes from people we have known for years. We talk about the weather and the crops as much as we talk about prices. It is a very direct way of doing things. You won't find any fancy brochures here. We just keep our records in big notebooks and try to make sure everything is fair for the buyers and the sellers. It’s a lot of hard work under the sun, but it is what we know how to do best in Umarpur.
