Zubin Unisex Salon

If you’re around Charkop Sector 8 in Kandivali West, you might have seen our shop. We’re at Shop 7 in Jinay Apartment, Plot 11. Most people use Tarzan Point as a way to find us since it’s a well-known spot in the area. Zubin is the one who started this, and it’s just a straightforward unisex salon. We don’t do anything too crazy. It’s mainly haircuts, shaving, and the occasional hair treatment when someone has a wedding to go to. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so we get a lot of families. On weekends, it’s usually packed with kids and their parents. We try to keep the place tidy, but with the Mumbai dust, it’s a constant battle. The shop isn’t very big, so it feels quite personal. You can hear what’s happening on the street while you’re sitting in the chair. We’ve got a couple of guys working here who have been around for a long time. We know who likes their hair short and who is trying to grow it out. It’s nice to have that connection with the community. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just open the shutters in the morning and see who comes in. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. Sometimes we have to tell people to wait a bit if we're full, but they usually don't mind grabbing a tea nearby.
