Nagori Parlour

If you're looking for us, we are in Jogeshwari West at Shop Number 18 in the Abba Apartment building, right off S V Road. It’s a busy little corner. We mostly focus on tea and dairy products. Every morning starts with the smell of tea leaves and milk heating up. We have a few benches where people sit for a few minutes before heading to the station. It gets really crowded during the morning rush. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't had the time to close down for a day to do it. We handle a lot of small change, so there’s always the sound of coins clinking in the drawer. Sometimes we run out of biscuits because the delivery didn't show up on time. The apartment residents above us are our main customers. We know whose kid likes which chocolate and who wants their tea without sugar. It’s a small space, so we have to keep everything very close together. The fridge is always full of milk packets and cold drinks. The kettle is almost always whistling on the stove. We go through a lot of sugar and ginger every day. The morning air in Jogeshwari can be a bit damp, so the hot tea really helps people wake up. We have a small mirror on the wall that's a bit cracked, but we use it to straighten our shirts. Sometimes a stray cat comes in looking for a drop of milk.
